This class serves as an introduction for those new to Ayurveda, and provides foundational Ayurveda understanding for anyone considering any of our Ayurveda programs.
This course is not required, only encouraged and is provided free with early registration for most of our classes.
Students explore foundational concepts such as:
History of Ayurveda
Goals of Ayurveda
Philosophies of India
5 Elements & Our Relationship to Nature
SVAyurveda Foundational Theory
Qualities of Nature and How We Heal in Ayurveda
Role of Senses in Disease
Causes of Disease
Therapies utilized in Ayurveda
Doshas: Vata -Pitta - Kapha
Life Goals and Values
